- 1943-1945 Jun 2026 The Ghost Army — Inflatable Tanks Win a War In 1944, the US Army deployed a unit whose weapons were rubber tanks, loudspeakers, and fake radio traffic. The 23rd Headquarters Special Troops won battles with theater. The enemy shot at things that did not exist.
